Why does is matter?

“Eco-phobia”, “eco-anxiety”, “solastagia” are new words for very concrete issues and behaviours for our children.

In a world where children spend more time indoors than ever before, we are facing a crisis of disconnection—from nature, from each other, and from deep, experiential learning.

We, educators, bear the responsibility to give children the environment they need to blossom, develop their infinite potential, creativity and ‘joie de vivre’.

Research shows that regular experiences in the natural world are the foundation of environmental education and foster pro-environmental behaviors.

Outdoor learning not only enhances curiosity, resilience, and well-being but also improves academic performance and social-emotional skills.

Schools have a unique opportunity to reconnect students with the living world, but many lack the tools and strategies to make it happen. That’s where I come in—helping educators and schools create meaningful, sustainable outdoor learning experiences that prepare children for a rapidly changing future.
